4:00pm
Another day filled with family visits.
Paul & Billy came, then Mary Beth, Cath & then Brenda & Lyndsay came.
Around 2:30 Gramma suggested we say the rosary. We've said it a number of times. Whether you feel it's helpful or not, it is something we can all do together. Everyone knows the words! It takes a while, passes the time. Kind of what we are doing now. Passing the time. Bob & I read the same chapters from Traveling Light again.
Mom is mostly out now. Her eyes are staying closed, but she seems very calm. Her hands and feet are quite warm. She even sipped some water around 1:00. Seems like she is not ready, or doesn't have control. We are all ready, but we have no control either.
Cathleen's funniest moment:
Years ago, we went to a restaurant, Mom took off her glasses & put them on the table. Andrea put them on, then did the classic Mom immitation, the inward gasp "uhhhhhh!!" loud & dramatic over the smallest thing. Mom, Cath, Andrea & Mike could not stop laughing. She is so reactive - highly excited, surprised. Such a predictable dramatic response. Very entertaining for all of us.
Looks to me like Mom has another night left anyway.
Good night for now,
Love Maggie
