Dec. 7, 2009 update...
Gramma arrived on Sunday, along with all the sisters & Jeany & her family! Full house! Gramma is here for the week! Yeah!
Last week was frustrating. Seems Mom has a blood clot in her left leg. The blood clots are what started everything. A month ago, Mom's left angle was hugely swollen. Now her ankle is fine & her knee is hugely painful. No action from the nurses about it. They say they'll schedule an ultrasound - they said that last week too.
Pain has been a problem - legs, back, shoulder. Pretty amazing that Mom can feel pain over the amount of morphine she is taking.
Eating is a bit better now. Mom is still pretty sensitive to smells & her tastes really change drastically.
As Shel Siverstein said, "Ah, so THAT'S how it is..." We can't solve these pains & problems, but that's how it is.
